It was the perfect scene. Cold, wet and drizzly on Bridgeway Avenue, hurrying up the steps to the first stop on my Sausalito Gingerbread House Tour at CIBO Caffè and the deliciously cozy atmosphere of hot drinks, delicious food and gingerbread...
First Stop: CIBO Caffè
Until you've actually completed the Sausalito Gingerbread House Tour, it's impossible to appreciate how perfect an activity it is on a chilly December day.
Brainchild of the ever-vibrant Sausalito Chamber of Commerce, the 10th Annual Sausalito Gingerbread House Tour has snowballed from a tiny handful of local businesses to a full-on explosion of creativity, harnessing the vibrancy of Sausalito in all its glory! So pack up the kids, appreciate the ease of parking in downtown Sausalito in this lightly-touristed time of year, and check out some amazing gingerbread creations...
Second Stop: Gr.Dano Boutique & Design Studio

Third Stop: Driver's Market
An adorable Gingergread version of Sausalito's Doheny Park! Love the organic produce in the background...
Fourth Stop: Sushi Ran
Generously hosting the Gingerbread-prototype plans for the new Marin Theater on Calendonia remodel, this gingerbread creation at the famous Sausalito Sushi Ran looks downright eerily real!
Decker-Bullock Sotheby's Sausalito Ginger-scape
Truly a magnificent creation, and on the other side of the "street" is a full-on remake of the Golden Gate Bridge, complete with Robin Williams rainbow tunnel!! So awesome.
Book Passage By the Bay
Book passage and gorgeous waterfront in Sausalito? I'm all in! Book Passage By the Bay is in the process of setting up shop, and they hired a local baker to create this cool ginger-book...
